Curve Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a leading main contractor based in Hatfield, seeking an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team.
Operating across a broad range of sectors including commercial, retail and mixed-use developments, they are proud to deliver new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects throughout London and the Home Counties.
They are now looking to strengthen their procurement function with a commercially astute and organised construction professional.

Performance Objectives
Managing procurement of materials and plant across multiple live projects
Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure best value and service
Placing orders in line with project specifications and programme requirements
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Monitoring delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time
Working closely with Commercial and Operational teams to forecast procurement needs
Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and procurement policies
Person Specification
Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within construction
Experience within a main contractor environment preferred
Background across commercial, retail, new build or fit-out projects advantageous
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Commercially aware and confident managing multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
Professional, proactive and able to work effectively within a team environment
