Performance Objectives

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor - The role will be split between site and office and will include:

  • Supporting cost control and commercial reporting

  • Assisting with interim valuations, variations and final accounts

  • Supporting subcontractor procurement and account management

  • Maintaining cost trackers, procurement schedules and commercial registers

  • Contributing to monthly CVRs, forecasting and cashflow reporting

  • Attending site visits and project meetings

  • Learning contract administration under JCT and NEC forms

Person Specification

  • Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similar

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a commercial construction role or relevant placement

  • Basic understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts

  • Strong numerical and organisational skills

  • Confident using Excel and standard IT systems

  • Ambitious, proactive and keen to progress within a commercial career

  • CSCS card (or willing to obtain)

  • Full UK driving licence beneficial
