Have you recently left college with an HND/HNC or graduated with a construction-related degree and are looking to start your career in site management?

Curve Recruitment are working with a leading main contractor who are looking to recruit a Graduate / Trainee Site Manager to join their ever expanding team in Cambridge.

This opportunity would suit someone recently out of college or university with a degree in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline who is keen to develop a long-term career within construction. You will work alongside experienced Site Managers and Project Managers, gaining hands-on experience while receiving structured training and mentorship.

You’ll gain exposure to the full construction lifecycle, working on projects valued up to £15m across a range of sectors including education, commercial, and residential developments.

The Role

As a Graduate / Trainee Site Manager, you will support the delivery of construction projects on site while developing your management skills, including:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day running of construction sites

  • Supporting Site Managers with coordinating subcontractors and trades

  • Monitoring site progress to ensure projects remain on programme

  • Helping maintain high standards of health and safety on site

  • Assisting with quality checks to ensure work meets required standards

  • Attending site meetings and learning how projects are delivered from start to completion

  • Supporting with site documentation, reports and daily site records

  • Developing a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations

About You

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or similar would be advantageous but not essential

  • Keen to develop a career in site management and project delivery

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Proactive with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Basic IT skills

  • Full UK driving licence beneficial but not essential
